Cover Mania! #5

*Hosted by The Tattered Page, Cover Mania! features covers that compel me*

Being so drawn to this cover, I felt compelled to dedicate a post to it. Take a look:

I think the model for the The Goddess Test series' covers. Whoever she is, she fits the Kate Winters in my head to a t. The cover for The Goddess Inheritance didn't let me down. I adored all of the books in Kiera Cass' The Goddess Test trilogy so I look forward to reading more of her work.

Overview:

Love or life. Henry or their child. The end of her family or the end of the world.

Kate must choose.

During nine months of captivity, Kate Winters has survived a jealous goddess, a vengeful Titan and a pregnancy she never asked for. Now the Queen of the Gods wants her unborn child, and Kate can't stop her—until Cronus offers a deal.

In exchange for her loyalty and devotion, the King of the Titans will spare humanity and let Kate keep her child. Yet even if Kate agrees, he'll destroy Henry, her mother and the rest of council. And if she refuses, Cronus will tear the world apart until every last god and mortal is dead.

With the fate of everyone she loves resting on her shoulders, Kate must do the impossible: find a way to defeat the most powerful being in existence, even if it costs her everything.

Even if it costs her eternity.

Cover Mania! #4

Being so drawn to this cover, I felt compelled to dedicate a post to it. Take a look:

THIS COVER IS AWESOME! It is edgy and almost daring you to read the book. And I think the color scheme is perfect. Would love to get my hands on a copy of Mind Games. I thought Kiersten White's Paranormalcy was great so I am up for reading the new psychological thriller - which may possibly have a sequel in the future.

Overview:

Two sisters, bound by impossible choices, are determined to protect each other—no matter the cost.
James's frozen face melts into a smile. "Do you want to know the trick to getting in trouble under the watchful eye of a psychic?"

I think of the nailed-shut windows. I think of Clarice. I think of the two, the two, the two who are now zero. Tap tap. "Yes, I absolutely do."

"Don't plan it. Don't even think about it. The second you get an inkling of what you could do, do it then. Never plan anything ahead of time. Always go on pure instinct."
I smile. "I think I can do that."

Cover Mania! #3

*Hosted by The Tattered Page, Cover Mania! features covers that compel me*

Being so drawn to this cover, I felt compelled to dedicate a post to it. Take a look:

I JUST CAN'T GET OVER THIS COVER. It is steamy and captivating. Every time I see the cover for this book, I have to stop and stare. Look at John for all that is holy! Can you blame me? The need I have to read Awaken is driving me insane. I absolutely loved the first two books in Meg Cabot's Abandon trilogy so I am looking forward to the final book without a doubt.

Overview:

Death has her in his clutches. She doesn't want him to let go.

Seventeen-year-old Pierce Oliviera knew by accepting the love of John Hayden, she'd be forced to live forever in the one place she's always dreaded most: the Underworld. The sacrifice seemed worth it, though, because it meant she could be with the boy she loves.

But now her happiness -- and safety -- are threatened, all because the Furies have discovered that John has broken one of their strictest rules: He revived a human soul.

If the balance between life and death isn't fixed, both the Underworld and Pierce's home back on earth will be wiped away. But there's only one way to restore order. Someone has to die.

Cover Mania! #2

Being so drawn to this cover, I felt compelled to dedicate a post to it. Take a look:

I JUST CAN'T GET OVER THIS COVER. The first two covers of the Wither trilogy are amazing. And it goes without saying that Sever's does not disappoint. Every time I see the cover for this book, I can't help but to think of all the moral compass disruption, love in the unlikeliest of places, murder and scientific experiments that made Wither so great for me. I absolutely loved the first book in Lauren DeStefano's Wither trilogy and although I haven't read Fever yet, I  just know it and Sever will continue the legacy that is Wither.
