To Giveaway ... or not to Giveaway?

So, yeah, I'm contemplating hosting a Giveaway. I was thinking of a 50 Follower Giveaway. Basically, when I reached 50 followers for my blog then I give a book away to one lucky winner. What do you think?

Here is a list of books that I will be choosing the book from:

Signed copy of CITY OF FALLEN ANGELS by Cassandra Clare

Signed copy of RED GLOVE by Holly Black

MISFIT arc by Jon Skovron

FOREVER arc by Maggie Steifvater

THE SCORPIO RACES arc by Maggie Stiefvater

MIDNIGHT IN AUSTENLAND arc by Shannon Hale

Which one do you guys think should be the prize? Comment with your vote and which book you would love to win.

PLEASE, spread the word!

***TENTATIVE:*** If all goes well, then I will not only host the 200 Follower Giveaway but it will be collaborated with, get this ... ANOTHER giveaway with my co-conspirator and friend: Diana Meli from The Lovely Getaway. Talk about a double whammy!!! Right?

BookExpo America 2011: DAY 2 ...

On the morning of Day 2 at BEA - May 25th - I got a few nice surprises. One, I actually found meter-free street parking on the only eligible block within a who-knows-mile radius. Two, I found out Lauren Kate was signing copies of PASSION [to be released June 2011] over at Random House. Yay! Three, I made yet another book buddy. See you in Florida, Livia! Harlequin Teen Hour ...

Is that Melissa Marr?...

Ladies and gentlemen, the $1 Million woman, Ally Condie ...

BookExpo America 2011: DAY 1 ...

WHOA!

Yes, that about sums up BEA - BookExpo America - in one, er, tastefully simple word.

I arrived at Jacob Javits Center at a little after 9 am on May 24th after crawling there an hour of traffic on the I-95. At that was coming from the Bronx mind you. Anywho, although this was not my first visit to the center, it was my first time attending BEA. And I have to say: Great choice, Haysel. Great choice.

As soon as I walked into the ginormous building I could feel the excitement as it tip-toed up my spine. One level below the first floor, in the registeration area, there was a chaos of people hustling to get registered and speedwalk - or, um, run, for those you lack self-control - to the exhibit floor.

I never felt so at home in a place that wasn't, uh, actually my home. Hehehe... Well, enough writing ... now it's time for picture time:
... Hmm, Claudia Gray's upcoming novel, FATEFUL, due out September 2011.

Just one of the many authors I've meet at BEA.

I think you can guess who this is ...

... a sming of the crowd at BEA this year.

Day 1 Swag, 28 books and other bits:

Ohh! Shout out to Alix, over at the Romance Book Forum, who I met on my first day at BEA. ***This girl is the mother of speedwalkers, let me tell you!***

Happy Reading!

The Beginning ...

So I just solidified the first 5 chapters of my manuscript, Paradox. Currently, I have written about 71,000 words and it still isn't finished so ... this is only the very beginning. I have a long road ahead of me and can't wait to the day when my first baby is complete. Wish me luck!

Take a look at my first 98 pages:
